Pre-School Books and Activities

Pre-school Books and Activities
for Ages 2-5

Welcome to The Castle Library's Book list and activities page for Pre-schoolers. Children need experience with a wide variety of print materials to help prepare them for the challenges of school.

The Queen understands that with these little dragons, attention spans are short, and the need for exploration is massive.

Parents and pre-school teachers working in school or daycare are encouraged to look around for entertaining ideas and activities that will engage even the most unruly young dragon.

The key to keeping a dragon's interest in books is to make it a daily part of their life, from reading the signs at their favorite eateries, to the labels of their favorite breakfast food. Let them help you read recipes when you are cooking grub.

Most important, visit libraries regularly for story times and check out some of the on-line sights the Queen presents here at the Castle.
